Matt Taibbi is an award-winning investigative reporter and one of America’s leading literary voices. The son of a TV reporter and a lawyer, he grew up admiring Russian literature, leading him to spend much of his early life in the former Soviet Union. After studying in Leningrad, he worked as a freelance reporter in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia. Taibbi co-founded the eXile, a satirical English-language newspaper in Moscow. He wrote for Rolling Stone, earning a National Magazine Award, and is known for his coverage of presidential campaigns, the 2008 financial crisis, and the publication of the Twitter Files.
