Sanjana Friedman is a fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a contributing editor of City Journal, where she writes about San Francisco, technology, and the future of California. She is also a writer and researcher at Y Combinator, and her reporting has appeared in Pirate Wires, where she was a staff writer, as well as The Free Press. She is known for investigative coverage of internet culture, artificial intelligence, and the technology industry. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Stanford and an M.Phil in history and philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge.
