Sir Niall Ferguson

Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution

Sir Niall Ferguson is one of the world's foremost historians and public intellectuals. The Milbank Family Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford and a Senior Fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center, he is the author of 16 books spanning economic history, empire, and geopolitics, including The Pity of War, The House of Rothschild, Civilization, and the New York Times bestseller The Square and the Tower. He received an international Emmy for his PBS series The Ascent of Money and was knighted by King Charles III in 2024 for services to literature. He is also co-founder of the University of Austin.
