Kim Kagan

Dr. Kim Kagan is the founder and president of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), a non-partisan defense and security research organization. She has served as a senior advisor to U.S. commanders in Afghanistan and Iraq, and is the author of The Surge: A Military History. Dr. Kagan is a leading expert on military strategy, counterinsurgency, and global security.
