Max Nikias

President Emeritus and Life Trustee, University of Southern California

C. L. Max Nikias served as the eleventh president of the University of Southern California from August 3, 2010, to August 7, 2018. He is President Emeritus and Life Trustee of the university and holds the Malcolm R. Currie Chair in Technology and the Humanities. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Inventors, Nikias is recognized internationally for pioneering research in digital signal processing and digital media.
