Daniel Di Martino is a Fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a PhD candidate in Economics at Columbia University, where his research focuses on immigration, assimilation, and highly skilled human capital. Born and raised in Venezuela, he experienced socialism's collapse firsthand before emigrating to the United States in 2016. He founded the Dissident Project to educate American students about the consequences of socialist regimes and has testified before Congress, appeared on Fox News and CNN, and written for USA Today, National Review, and City Journal.
