Reihan Salam is the president of the Manhattan Institute, a leading policy research organization dedicated to expanding opportunity, individual liberty, and the rule of law. Before joining the Institute in 2019, he was executive editor of National Review and worked at the New York Times and NBC News. He is the author of Melting Pot or Civil War? and co-author of Grand New Party with Ross Douthat. A contributing writer at The Atlantic and contributing editor at National Review and National Affairs, Salam is one of the most thoughtful voices in American policy debates.
